School and Classroom Events
These Friends sponsored events provide many different opportunities for parents to volunteer in support of Princeton Charter School.
September PCS has two Back-to-School nights, one for parents of K-4 students on September 19th, and the other for 5-8 parents on September 12th. Here parents meet the teachers and find out what their children will learn throughout the year. Friends of PCS provide refreshments.
|Fall Family Picnic: September 22nd
Friends of PCS runs this fun family event that everyone tries to attend. While the main course is provided (for example, hot dogs, hamburgers, and veggie burgers), every family brings a side dish, salad, or dessert to share. Volunteers do all the ordering, preparation, and organization.

These great events hosted by PCS teachers and families which are fun, exciting and promise to entertain our kids! This Fall fundraiser is a great way to connect with PCS families and friends! For our new K -3rd graders, it's a terrific way to meet other PCS students and families too! |Text Book Exchange: September 5th-15th
At the end of each year, the Friends sponsors a textbook exchange where books are collected from students that don’t need them anymore. The following year they are available for students who want them.
|School Photo Day: September 27th|
Parent volunteers replace teachers from 7:30 to 7:50 while the teachers have their photographs taken. Additional parent volunteers are needed throughout the day to help organize the students. http://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080944a9a72da6fb6-picture
|Book Fairs: November 6-10th & April 20th-25
Do you want to foster your children’s love of reading, raise funds for PCS and help stock PCS class libraries – all at once? Then come help out at the PCS Book Fair! Parent volunteers are needed, especially to help grades K-4 when they visit the Book Fair during school. |Holiday Parties: December 19th|
To celebrate certain holidays, room parents organize grade-level parties for the students. The children enjoy the break in pace and the delicious goodies parents provide. We prefer treats that have nutritional value such as: apples, fruit kebobs, cheese and crackers, veggies, muffins, and home-baked cakes and cookies.
|Fun in February
Friends sponsors a variety of fun events for the students to brighten up the short daylight hours of February.
|Annual Benefit: Saturday, March 10th, 2018|
Every spring, Friends of PCS holds a fabulous benefit event that is a major fundraiser for the school. This year the Gala will be held at Cherry Valley Country Club. https://fpcsch.ejoinme.org/gala2018
|Faculty & Staff Appreciation Lunch: March 16th, 2018

|Annual Student Art Show & Spring Picnic: May 11th, 2018|
The annual art show is an evening celebration of the arts. Every student has at least one piece in the show. Parent volunteers help mount student artwork, and supervise activities. This night has expanded to include the Spring Picnic with the ever popular cake walk and DJ.
|New Family Social: May 2018
An ice cream social or family dinner for the students and families in grades that will add a new class of entering students. This informal event helps the students entering kindergarten and grade 3 become acquainted.
|6th-8th Grade Dance: Students gather for a parent and teacher supervised party in the school gym with DJ and pizza.||Field Day: May 25th, 2018
The students split into teams and compete in a series of fun outdoor events all morning. There is plenty of opportunity for parent volunteers to come join the fun while they supervise the action. All students must wear sneakers and socks.
