Hi everyone!
I’m Chaitra Baum, parent to a second and a third grader at PCS. This year I’m in charge of the grub and the laughs – you got it! I’m taking care of food and/ entertainment at the Gala. I’m particularly excited for this year because of the theme – “Back to the 80s!” I’m an 80s child myself and I remember the pop culture, the fun and the music of that decade. A mood that we could use to celebrate these post pandemic times, don’t you all think?
The Annual PCS Gala is a very important fundraiser event for the school. PCS receives limited public school funding so the school relies on funds raised by these events to improve the facilities, enhance the school’s communication programs, support after-school and fund several other priorities for our students.
So come, support the school by dancing the night away! The 80s had the best music and I can’t wait to put together a playlist to relive that special time.
I’d love for you all to help me – please send me your favorite song from the 80s and if you’d like to dedicate it to someone, I’ll make sure to pass this on to the DJ.
Looking forward to seeing you at the Gala! Come groove to ‘Take on me’ or is ‘Sweet Child of Mine’ more your thing? I speak for many of us when I say ‘Girls just wanna have fun’! Let me just say before I ‘Beat it’ that your support and investment into the school and the future of all our kids is sincerely appreciated!
